Cultural Relativism - this theory suggests that the meaning of
'right' and 'wrong' reflects a society's moral guidelines which can
change both in space (different locations) and time (different eras).
Lots of rules and regulations change when we cross the border, sometimes the border can be also between generations. What was once not acceptable seems nowdays a common behaviour. Youth today questions borders - it can include using Facebook when it is officcialy it is not allowd (13 and under it cannotbe legally used) or how e.g. Indian people see the box system or other.
For me I stepped today into a one difference what is between Estonia (and post soviet countries) is how students and teachers interact. Like in England or in America not all schools allow interaction in free time or in online. This is a cultural thing, also locational and even "era" thing, as how it is even possible.. (not to interact using these tools). How can I stopp students following me on Twitter or something.. isent it my legal right to have social neworking account in my free time?
One of the real examples when I did a research fo EU I was asked to make survey with students only in open area and there should be a teacher or other present. Other nice examle is information sheet "dont put cat into a microwave to dry". And third somewhat far fetched is how private is your social secutity number. In Estonia, it is not a private information and you cannot use it to (ideally) to do bad things. In other countrys it is a "password" how people identify themselves eg. in bank or other places and because that knowing that you could do a lot of harm.
Plus - local authorities or nationalities can restrict some behaviour what has one overe the border. Mass stupidity can be somehow regulated in that way also.
Minus - it will not be understandable by others, this will not end up into a common universal law of things. Some will see all as it is - restrictions.
