Global trends gives overview of the problem areas, these are listed as we have seen happening in the world today 2012 /paper was form 2004. I don´t have nothing to add there, only that these issues are more serious that I have ever hoped to be.
In development scenarios there is proposed 4 solutions what is happening globally. As 2012 we see a lot has changed as Americans also are moving to another direction with president Obama. Also I see prime minister Ansip in Estonia is trying to use Singapore model in Estonia, this is working well as we don´t have loans or much problems, but people are not happy and the money ship with big companies has not arrived yet.
Himanen proposes new scenario to Finnish people where creativity and innovation is combined with welfare. It has been a nice dream that northern countries can provide that for their people. For now as we see what has happened with Euro and southern countries, I see also lot of people who are not happy that others must pay for "losers", but this what the Finnish model should be all about - caring etc. This model can only work where everybody gives all what they can, not when some expect others to pay for others.
In education there is no other way as to believe that everybody should be given a chance again and again. In real life there is a limit. I don't know the answer but I know that everything for everybody behind closed borders is not the best way to live. For me whatever has happened to Estonia is better what would be in the soviet times. Opening the borders means I can leave. I don't see a bright future for Estonia, when we compare eg. prices and salaries. When I don't compare, then Estonia is not so bad - innovative solutions, people, drive to do things and freedom. Sometimes these things are worth more than money.
For Finland I see a big problem with population ageing and centralizing as Himanen predicted. Finnish can at the same time feed form Estonian s, Polish or other people who are willing to do the dirty work ans live better life than before. So they are opened their borders. At the same time the southern part does not give much for them, only Germany stands in the way of leaving the Euro Zone. For Germany giving up the southern part is not a option. I don't understand why others must pay for that?
So for now the economical crisis is changing the way what kind of societies will develop. Europa must find a donor bug whom to attack as there are not so many resources left. To talk to forever kindness to others is one way to say to the people - don't want so much, be happy with what you got. Everybody will get as much is needed etc. At the same time we see this talk from rich who just want to control the poor. The problem is that nowadays the internet has connected us all and we also find information. All people in the world want a better life - Arabs, Africans, Indians etc. But seeing the economical crisis we also see that the money is moving more and more where the riches people are....
